An Indian address of your own, so every Indian store delivers to you.
Many Indian websites will not ship abroad or take a foreign card. India Rabbit gives you a real delivery address in India. Order to it, and we receive your parcels, combine them into one box and send it to your door — anywhere in the world.
Free to join · 30 days free storage on every parcel · Pay only when you ship
From our warehouse in Kerala we ship to every country: a 1 kg parcel is about ₹4,000–5,000 to the UK, ₹2,500–4,000 to the UAE or ₹4,000–5,500 to the USA by direct courier.

IR-1001 is an example. Yours is issued instantly and is yours for good — it is how we match every arriving parcel to you.
Four steps, and you only do the first one
No paperwork before you shop, and nothing to pay until you decide to send a box.
Shop any Indian store
Signing up is free and takes about a minute — you get your Indian address and your own suite code straight away. Use it at checkout on Amazon.in, Flipkart, Myntra, Nykaa, Ajio, Meesho or any Indian seller.
We receive, open and hold
Every parcel is opened, checked against your order and photographed on the day it lands, so you see what actually arrived before you pay to fly it. Then it is stored free for 30 days while you carry on shopping.
Everything into one box
We strip the retail packaging and repack your orders into the smallest safe box, weigh it, and quote you before anything flies. Consolidation and repacking are free.
Straight to your door
Pick Economy or Premium, pay once, and follow the tracking the whole way to your doorstep.
Why people ship with India Rabbit
Package forwarding is a crowded business. These are the places we deliberately do it differently.
No subscription, ever
Opening an address is free and stays free. Most forwarders charge a membership before you have shipped a single box. You pay us only when something flies.
Both prices before you commit
Economy and Premium are quoted side by side on the real weight of your packed box, not on a tempting "from" price that changes once we weigh it.
Every charge on the bill
Fuel, remote-area and handling surcharges are already inside the number you see. Import duty is set by your country, not by us, so we name it up front.
Every parcel opened, checked and photographed
We open each parcel as it arrives, check the contents against what you ordered and photograph them, so you see what actually turned up before you pay to ship it. Wrong size, wrong colour, something missing, or a restricted item that could never have flown — you find out here, not after paying for the air inside the box.
One box instead of five
Consolidation and repacking are free. We strip the retail packaging, which is what actually drives volumetric weight down. How much that saves depends entirely on how bulky the boxes were — on bulky retail packaging it can reach 80%, and on small dense items it is far less.
Storage that warns you
Thirty days free, ninety days maximum, and we email you when a week is left and again on the day it expires. Your parcel list shows the days remaining the whole time.
Rather see it than read it?
Eighty seconds, start to finish: the Indian address you get for free, using it at checkout on an Indian store, the box we pack, and the door it turns up at.
The stores people order from most
Each guide covers what that store will and will not do for an international shopper, and how to get around it. For the full list, see Indian shopping sites you can use from abroad.

Questions people ask before signing up
What is a virtual Indian address?
When you sign up (free), you get your own suite code at our warehouse in Kerala — used as the building line of the address, for example "India Rabbit, IR-1001". Use it as the delivery address on Amazon.in, Flipkart, Myntra, or any Indian store, and we receive the parcels on your behalf.
How long can you store my parcels?
Storage is free for 30 days per parcel. Need longer? You can extend storage from your dashboard for a small fee that is simply added to your shipping bill.
How much does international shipping cost?
It depends on destination and chargeable weight (the greater of actual and volumetric weight). Sign up or message us on WhatsApp for a quick estimate — and save up to 80% by combining several parcels into one box.
Why is my final weight different from the estimated weight?
The weight shown when a parcel arrives is that parcel on its own, in the box the seller sent it in. It is an estimate, and it is there so you can plan. Once you raise a shipping request we strip the retail packaging, repack everything into one box and weigh the finished parcel — that is the weight you are billed on, because it is the weight the airline sees. It moves in both directions. Retail cartons, hangers and surplus padding come off, which takes weight away and takes a great deal of volume away. The international outer carton, protective wrap for anything fragile, tape and the labels put some back. A few hundred grams either way is normal on a box holding several parcels. You always see the final weight and the final price in your account before you pay — nothing is ever charged on the estimate.
Why was my parcel billed at a higher weight than it actually weighs?
Two things round it up, and neither is ours. Carriers bill in fixed weight steps rather than in grams, so a box that lands just over a step is charged at the next one up. And they bill on chargeable weight — the greater of what the box weighs and what its size says it weighs (length × width × height ÷ 5000) — so a light but bulky box is priced on its size instead. Removing retail packaging is the fastest way to bring both numbers down, which is why we do it to every shipment at no charge. Your quote always shows the weight it was calculated on.
Do you open my parcels?
Yes — every parcel is opened when it reaches us. It is how we check that what arrived is what you ordered, photograph the contents for you, and catch a restricted item at our warehouse rather than at a customs desk in your country. It is also what makes consolidation possible: retail packaging has to come off before several orders can be repacked into one box. Nothing is opened after it has been packed for dispatch, and the photographs are visible only in your own account.
What if something is missing or wrong when you open it?
You will see it in the photographs before the parcel goes anywhere, which is the whole point of checking at this end. Tell us and hold the parcel — storage is free for 30 days — while you take it up with the seller. A return inside India is straightforward.
Can you send an item back to the Indian seller for me?
Yes, while it is still with us in India. If something is wrong when it reaches our warehouse in Kerala, you see it in the photographs before anything ships. Start the return with the store inside its return window and we hand the parcel to the store's return pickup at our warehouse. Once a parcel has shipped abroad it can no longer go back to the Indian seller through us, so check the photographs before you ask us to ship.
Do you offer shipping insurance?
No, we do not sell shipping insurance. If a parcel is lost or damaged on the way, we help you with the claim to the courier, and that courier's own terms decide what is paid. Our own liability is limited to the fee you paid us for that shipment, as our terms set out.
Can I order cash on delivery to my India Rabbit address?
No. Cash-on-delivery orders cannot be accepted at our warehouse, so pay the store online when you order.
What if a parcel arrives without my suite code?
We keep it safely until someone claims it. If an order shows as delivered but is not in your account, send us the order number and the name on it, and we will match it to you.
The courier needs a phone number or an OTP to deliver. Which number do I give?
Ours. Your India Rabbit address carries our warehouse number, so the courier calls us and we receive the parcel for you.
Can I change the delivery address after my parcel has shipped?
Yes. Tell us as soon as you can and we arrange the change with the courier.
Can I collect my parcels from the warehouse, or have another courier pick them up?
Yes, either. Tell us who is coming or which courier is collecting, and we have the parcels ready.
What happens if customs in my country refuses the parcel?
It is returned. Check your country's page under prohibited items before you order anything you are unsure about.
Is there a size or weight limit?
Not one of our own. We ship courier parcels, so large or fragile things such as a rug, a small piece of furniture or a musical instrument are fine, packed properly. We do not handle freight or pallets.
Can I ship used clothes or second-hand items?
Yes. Declare them honestly as used, with a realistic value.
Can I send dry fish, ghee or homemade sweets?
Yes, from our side. Whether they are allowed in depends on your country, and some countries are strict about meat, fish and dairy, so check your country's page under prohibited items first.
Can I ship hair oil, serums or liquid cosmetics?
Yes, sealed and declared. Perfume, nail polish and aerosols cannot be shipped, because airlines treat them as flammable.
Can I ship agarbatti, camphor or other pooja items that burn?
No. Agarbatti, dhoop, camphor, sambrani and anything else that burns cannot be shipped. Lamps, idols, bells and other pooja items can.
Can I ship a mobile phone or a laptop?
No. We cannot ship mobile phones or laptops.
Can I ship gold or silver jewellery?
No. We do not ship real gold, silver or diamond jewellery. Imitation, Kundan and fashion jewellery is fine.
Do you offer gift wrapping or tailoring?
No. If something needs stitching or altering, have it done by a tailor in India who can send the finished piece to your India Rabbit address.
What is parcel consolidation?
Instead of shipping each order separately, we repack all your parcels into one box, removing unnecessary retail packaging. One international shipment instead of five means one base rate and much less volumetric weight.
What documents do I need?
One-time KYC (Aadhaar, PAN, passport, or similar government ID) — required by Indian customs for all international shipments. Per shipment, you just declare what you paid for the items; uploading the store invoice speeds up clearance.
How do I pay?
After we weigh and pack your shipment you get a final quote by email, payable online by international credit/debit card, UPI, or netbanking through Razorpay. Prices are in INR with an approximate conversion shown in your currency.
How long does delivery take?
Typically 5-12 business days after dispatch depending on destination, via our express partners with full door-to-door tracking.
What is the longest you can store my parcel?
Ninety days from the day it arrives — that is 30 days free plus two paid 30-day extensions. We email you when 7 days of storage remain and again on the day it expires, and your parcel list shows the days remaining at all times.
What can't I ship?
Perfumes, nail polish, aerosols, agarbatti, camphor and anything else that burns, anything with a battery (including toys and watches), mobile phones and laptops, real gold, silver and diamond jewellery, cash, and other prohibited or carrier-restricted items — see our prohibited items page, and message us on WhatsApp before ordering anything you are unsure about.
Which service should I choose — Premium or Economy?
Premium is a direct courier: faster, better tracking, and it reaches everywhere we ship. Economy is a consolidated service, several days slower, and noticeably cheaper where it is available. The calculator shows both for your destination, and only Premium appears if Economy does not serve that country or postcode.
Why can I only see one shipping option for my country?
Either the economy network does not reach that destination or that specific postcode, or your shipment contains medicine, which ships Premium only.
Can I ship medicine?
Yes — prescription medicine in personal quantities, with the prescription in the box, on our Premium service only. Controlled or narcotic medicines usually need approval from the destination health authority. Tick the medicine switch when you calculate or request shipping and we will handle it correctly.
How is my price worked out?
On the weight and size of the packed shipment and where it is going, plus 18% GST, which Indian law requires on a service supplied from India. The calculator shows the whole figure before you commit — there is no fuel surcharge added later and no handling fee at checkout. Import duty is not included, because it is charged by customs in your country rather than by us.
What is volumetric weight?
Length x width x height in centimetres divided by 5000. Airlines bill on that or the actual weight, whichever is greater, because a large light box takes up the same aircraft space as a small heavy one. Consolidating orders and letting us strip retail packaging is how you bring it down.
Do you charge for consolidation and repacking?
No. Receiving parcels, storing them, photographing them, repacking and combining them into one shipment are all included. You pay for the international shipment itself.
Will I have to pay customs duty?
Usually yes, in your own country, on delivery. It is set by your customs authority on the declared value of the goods and collected by the courier. We never collect duty.
Can I shop from a local Indian boutique if I live overseas?
Yes, and it is the case the service is really for. A small boutique, a handloom society or a single-shop brand usually delivers only inside India, and not because of a shipping policy: it has no international channel at all. It does not need one. Give it your Indian address and it makes an ordinary domestic delivery, we receive the parcel, and we forward it to you. The same goes for a shop you walked into on a trip to India. If it can courier within India, it can reach us.
Can I buy from multiple Indian stores and combine the packages?
Yes, and that is where most of the saving is. Each parcel you order to your Indian address arrives on its own and waits. When you are ready we strip the retail packaging, repack everything into one box and send that single shipment, so you pay one international rate instead of one per store. Receiving, storing, photographing, repacking and combining are all included. You pay for the international shipment itself.
What happens after my package arrives at my India Rabbit address?
We match it to your suite code, weigh it, photograph it and show it in your account. It then waits, free, while you finish ordering. Nothing moves until you raise a shipping request: at that point we strip the retail packaging, combine everything into one box, weigh the finished parcel, and show you the final weight and the final price before you pay. You are never billed on the arrival estimate.
Is an Indian phone number required to shop from Indian websites?
For the delivery address, no. The address we give you carries our Indian warehouse number, which is the number a courier should call to deliver the parcel, so that field is already answered. Two other places can ask for a number and they are separate problems. Payment: an Indian store may want an Indian card or an OTP on an Indian number. Foreign cards often work, and where a store will not take yours, message us on WhatsApp before you order rather than after. Account sign-up: those rules vary by site and change over time, so if one will not let you register without an Indian mobile, ask us first.
Can India Rabbit receive packages from Instagram sellers?
Yes. An Instagram seller who ships by Indian courier can send to your Indian address exactly as to any customer in India. Give them the address with your suite code on the building line, and ask for the tracking number, because a small seller often books over a counter rather than through a portal. Parcels from individual sellers are the ones worth seeing before they travel, and we photograph every parcel on arrival as standard.
