Shop Indian stores from Norway, delivered to your door
Norway has long-settled Punjabi and Tamil communities, mostly around Oslo, and a newer professional population in Stavanger and Trondheim. Very little reaches here from Indian retailers directly.
Yes — you can shop Indian websites from Norway even when they will not deliver there. India Rabbit is a package forwarding company that gives you a free Indian delivery address in Kerala. Order to it from Amazon.in, Flipkart, Myntra or any Indian shop, and we receive each parcel, hold it free for 30 days, combine everything into one box and forward it to Norway — typically 4 to 6 business days from dispatch. You pay for the international shipment only. From India to Norway, a 1 kg parcel starts at ₹9,800 (about NOK 951), and the rate per kilo falls as the box fills: about ₹5,460 (about NOK 530) per kg for a 5 kg box and ₹2,930 (about NOK 284) per kg for 20 kg, on Premium, with GST and payment charges included. We charge in rupees; the NOK figures are approximate, at this week's exchange rate. Forwarding one box to Norway runs about ₹9,000–11,000 for 1 kg and ₹25,000–29,500 for 5 kg by direct courier. Why one box beats five parcels
International shipping is charged on the greater of actual and volumetric weight, and every parcel carries that cost separately. Five 1 kg parcels to Norway are priced as five shipments; repacked into one 4 kg box — packaging stripped, which is where the fifth kilo goes — they are priced as one. That is the difference between the 1 kg row above multiplied by five and the 5 kg row on its own.
Premium or Economy to Norway?
Premium is a direct courier with end-to-end tracking and priority customs handling. Economy is consolidated and takes a few days longer for a lower price. Typical transit to Norway is 4 to 6 business days from dispatch; Economy sits at the longer end of that. Both are tracked. More on choosing Premium or Economy and on how long shipping from India takes.
Shop from India to Norway — what people actually buy
Norway runs 230V on the standard European socket, so a plug adapter is all an Indian appliance needs. This is the most expensive route in Europe on our list and Premium is the only tier, which changes how you should shop it: order across several weeks, let everything stack up with us, and take one full box rather than several small ones. Oslo has a little Indian retail and the rest of the country has almost none, so people here tend to order deep rather than often.
- Wedding and festival clothing
- Spices and packaged food
- Indian-language books
- Religious and pooja items
Norway is the most expensive route in Europe on this list, and Premium is the only tier — the Economy consolidated service does not run here. Being outside the EU means Norway sets its own customs regime, its own thresholds and its own rules on food and medicines.
We deliver door to door across Norway, including Oslo, Bergen, Stavanger and Trondheim.
Customs and restrictions
Norway is NOT in the EU. Norwegian VAT (25%) applies; low-value goods use the VOEC scheme. The recipient may need to pay charges before delivery.
Not accepted
- Counterfeit goods and endangered species products
- Weapons and certain knives
- Meat and dairy products without permits
- Narcotics and controlled substances
Allowed with conditions
- Medicines — personal quantity with a prescription
- Commercially packaged food — declare
- Supplements and cosmetics — declare
- Alcohol and tobacco — heavily restricted
Import duty and local taxes are decided by Norway customs and collected by the carrier on delivery. They are never part of our shipping quote.
Selling from India rather than buying? Shipping orders to Norway for Indian sellers covers this lane from the other side — transit, what Norway will not admit, and how duty falls.

Yes. India Rabbit is a package forwarding company that gives you a free Indian address at its warehouse in Kerala, with your own suite code. You shop Indian websites to it, and it combines your parcels into one box and ships them to Norway, typically 4 to 6 business days after dispatch.
Can I get Indian products delivered to Norway when the shop only ships within India?

How do I shop from India and ship to Norway?
Sign up free and you get an Indian delivery address in Kerala with your own suite code. Use it as the shipping address at checkout on Amazon.in, Flipkart, Myntra, Nykaa, Ajio and most other Indian stores. When your parcels reach us we let you know, and you choose when to have them forwarded to Norway.
How much does it cost to send a parcel from India to Norway per kg?
Ranges worked out 2026-10-31, not quotes, and duty at your end is separate. What you pay depends on the finished weight and size after we repack your parcels into one; the table on this page shows indicative totals by parcel weight for Premium and Economy, with our handling, GST and payment charges included. The calculator gives the exact figure for your box.
Can I send a courier from India to Norway with India Rabbit?
Yes. Order from Indian shops to your India Rabbit address, or have family in India send things there by any domestic courier. We receive and photograph every parcel, combine everything into one box and ship it to Norway with tracking, typically 4 to 6 business days after dispatch.
What is the cheapest way to ship from India to Norway?
Order everything to your Indian address first and have it forwarded as one box. International shipping is charged per shipment on the greater of actual and volumetric weight, so five parcels sent separately cost far more than the same goods repacked together. Where we run an Economy lane to Norway, it is cheaper again than direct courier in exchange for a few more days in transit.
How long does delivery to Norway take?
Typically 4 to 6 business days from the day your consolidated shipment leaves our warehouse, plus customs clearance at your end. Time in storage before you request shipping does not count towards that.
How much can I save by combining parcels?
International shipping is priced on weight and size, so five separate parcels cost far more than one. We repack everything into a single box and strip unnecessary packaging to cut volumetric weight. The saving scales with how bulky the original packaging was — up to 80% on bulky retail boxes, considerably less on small dense items.
Will I pay customs duty in Norway?
Norway is NOT in the EU. Norwegian VAT (25%) applies; low-value goods use the VOEC scheme. The recipient may need to pay charges before delivery. Duty is charged by the customs authority in Norway, not by India Rabbit.
What can I not forward to Norway?
Prohibited for Norway: Counterfeit goods and endangered species products; Weapons and certain knives; Meat and dairy products without permits; Narcotics and controlled substances; Cash, currency, cheques, bullion, and loose precious stones; Narcotics, illegal drugs, and psychotropic substances. Check before you order.
How long will you hold my parcels?
30 days free from the day each parcel arrives, which is enough to finish a sale-season order and send it all together. Storage can be extended for a fee if you need longer.
Do I need an Indian card or phone number?
For most stores your own card works fine. Where a store insists on an Indian payment method, message us on WhatsApp before ordering and we will tell you what is possible.
