Shop Indian stores from Malaysia, delivered to your door

Brickfields and the Little Indias of Penang and Klang carry a great deal of what people want, so this is not a route where nothing is available. It is a route where the specific thing often is not — a particular brand, a Kerala regional item, a size, or a seller who will only deliver within India. Ordering to an Indian address and consolidating is what closes that.

Yes — you can shop Indian websites from Malaysia even when they will not deliver there. India Rabbit is a package forwarding company that gives you a free Indian delivery address in Kerala. Order to it from Amazon.in, Flipkart, Myntra or any Indian shop, and we receive each parcel, hold it free for 30 days, combine everything into one box and forward it to Malaysia — typically 4 to 6 business days from dispatch. You pay for the international shipment only. From India to Malaysia, a 1 kg parcel starts at ₹1,100 (about MYR 47), and the rate per kilo falls as the box fills: about ₹790 (about MYR 34) per kg for a 5 kg box and ₹650 (about MYR 28) per kg for 20 kg, on Economy, with GST and payment charges included. We charge in rupees; the MYR figures are approximate, at this week's exchange rate. Forwarding one box to Malaysia runs about ₹3,500–4,500 for 1 kg and ₹9,000–11,000 for 5 kg by direct courier, or ₹1,000–1,500 and ₹3,500–4,500 where we run an Economy lane. Ranges worked out 2026-10-31, not quotes. Economy is delivered duty paid; on Premium, duty at your end is separate.

Economy to Malaysia is delivered duty paid, so import duty is in the price; on Premium, duty and any import tax charged on arrival is separate, and is set by Malaysia customs rather than by us.

Why one box beats five parcels

International shipping is charged on the greater of actual and volumetric weight, and every parcel carries that cost separately. Five 1 kg parcels to Malaysia are priced as five shipments; repacked into one 4 kg box — packaging stripped, which is where the fifth kilo goes — they are priced as one. That is the difference between the 1 kg row above multiplied by five and the 5 kg row on its own.

Premium or Economy to Malaysia?

Premium is a direct courier with end-to-end tracking and priority customs handling. Economy is consolidated and takes a few days longer for a lower price. Typical transit to Malaysia is 4 to 6 business days from dispatch; Economy sits at the longer end of that. Both are tracked. More on choosing Premium or Economy and on how long shipping from India takes.

Shop from India to Malaysia — what people actually buy

Kuala Lumpur, Penang and Ipoh have deep Tamil and Malayali retail, so as in Singapore the reason to shop from India is the particular rather than the general — a brand the local shop does not carry, an edition, a size. Malaysia runs 240V on UK-style sockets, so Indian appliances work with an adapter. Premium is the only tier here, which makes ordering across a few weeks and taking one consolidated box the difference between sensible and expensive.

  • Brands and variants the local shops do not carry
  • Kerala groceries, spices and packaged food
  • Malayalam and Tamil books
  • Wedding and festival clothing bought at Indian prices
  • Ayurvedic and herbal products

Premium is the only tier on this route — the Economy consolidated service does not run to Malaysia, so the rate table shows Premium only. Alcohol and pork products are restricted and material considered offensive to Islam is prohibited. Food must be sealed, declared and halal where it applies.

We deliver door to door across Malaysia, including Kuala Lumpur, Penang, Johor Bahru, Ipoh and Klang.

Customs and restrictions

Parcels up to RM500 arriving by air courier are free of import duty; registered online sellers charge 10% low-value goods tax at checkout. Above RM500, import duty and sales tax apply. Declare contents and medicines accurately.

Not accepted

  • Alcohol and pork products (restricted by courier)
  • Material offensive to Islam and non-halal religious items
  • Narcotics and controlled substances
  • Pornographic and pirated material
  • E-cigarettes and vaping products (restricted)

Allowed with conditions

  • Medicines — prescription; some need NPRA (Pharmaceutical Regulatory) approval
  • Food — packaged, sealed and halal; declare contents
  • Cosmetics and supplements — declare

Shipping from India to Malaysia — questions

Is there a package forwarding company that gives me an Indian address and ships to Malaysia?

Yes. India Rabbit is a package forwarding company that gives you a free Indian address at its warehouse in Kerala, with your own suite code. You shop Indian websites to it, and it combines your parcels into one box and ships them to Malaysia, typically 4 to 6 business days after dispatch.

Can I get Indian products delivered to Malaysia when the shop only ships within India?

Yes. Order to your India Rabbit address as an ordinary customer in India. We receive the parcel at our warehouse in Kerala, hold it free for 30 days while your other orders arrive, and forward everything to Malaysia in one box.

How do I shop from India and ship to Malaysia?

Sign up free and you get an Indian delivery address in Kerala with your own suite code. Use it as the shipping address at checkout on Amazon.in, Flipkart, Myntra, Nykaa, Ajio and most other Indian stores. When your parcels reach us we let you know, and you choose when to have them forwarded to Malaysia.

How much does it cost to send a parcel from India to Malaysia per kg?

What you pay depends on the finished weight and size after we repack your parcels into one; the table on this page shows indicative totals by parcel weight for Premium and Economy, with our handling, GST and payment charges included. The calculator gives the exact figure for your box.

Can I send a courier from India to Malaysia with India Rabbit?

Yes. Order from Indian shops to your India Rabbit address, or have family in India send things there by any domestic courier. We receive and photograph every parcel, combine everything into one box and ship it to Malaysia with tracking, typically 4 to 6 business days after dispatch.

What is the cheapest way to ship from India to Malaysia?

Order everything to your Indian address first and have it forwarded as one box. International shipping is charged per shipment on the greater of actual and volumetric weight, so five parcels sent separately cost far more than the same goods repacked together. Where we run an Economy lane to Malaysia, it is cheaper again than direct courier in exchange for a few more days in transit.

How long does delivery to Malaysia take?

Typically 4 to 6 business days from the day your consolidated shipment leaves our warehouse, plus customs clearance at your end. Time in storage before you request shipping does not count towards that.

How much can I save by combining parcels?

International shipping is priced on weight and size, so five separate parcels cost far more than one. We repack everything into a single box and strip unnecessary packaging to cut volumetric weight. The saving scales with how bulky the original packaging was — up to 80% on bulky retail boxes, considerably less on small dense items.

Will I pay customs duty in Malaysia?

Parcels up to RM500 arriving by air courier are free of import duty; registered online sellers charge 10% low-value goods tax at checkout. Above RM500, import duty and sales tax apply. Declare contents and medicines accurately. Duty is charged by the customs authority in Malaysia, not by India Rabbit.

What can I not forward to Malaysia?

Prohibited for Malaysia: Alcohol and pork products (restricted by courier); Material offensive to Islam and non-halal religious items; Narcotics and controlled substances; Pornographic and pirated material; E-cigarettes and vaping products (restricted); Cash, currency, cheques, bullion, and loose precious stones. Check before you order.

How long will you hold my parcels?

30 days free from the day each parcel arrives, which is enough to finish a sale-season order and send it all together. Storage can be extended for a fee if you need longer.

Do I need an Indian card or phone number?

For most stores your own card works fine. Where a store insists on an Indian payment method, message us on WhatsApp before ordering and we will tell you what is possible.
