Shop Indian stores from Kenya, delivered to your door
Kenya’s Indian community, largely Gujarati and Punjabi and long prominent in trade, has been part of the country for more than a century and was recognised as Kenya’s 44th tribe in 2017. Indian groceries are easy to find in Nairobi and Mombasa; regional clothing and books are not.

Order to it from Amazon.in, Flipkart, Myntra or any Indian shop, and we receive each parcel, hold it free for 30 days, combine everything into one box and forward it to Kenya — typically 4 to 6 business days from dispatch. Why one box beats five parcels
International shipping is charged on the greater of actual and volumetric weight, and every parcel carries that cost separately. Five 1 kg parcels to Kenya are priced as five shipments; repacked into one 4 kg box — packaging stripped, which is where the fifth kilo goes — they are priced as one. That is the difference between the 1 kg row above multiplied by five and the 5 kg row on its own.
Premium or Economy to Kenya?
Premium is a direct courier with end-to-end tracking and priority customs handling. Economy is consolidated and takes a few days longer for a lower price. Typical transit to Kenya is 4 to 6 business days from dispatch; Economy sits at the longer end of that. Both are tracked. More on choosing Premium or Economy and on how long shipping from India takes.

Shipping from India to Kenya — questions
Is there a package forwarding company that gives me an Indian address and ships to Kenya?
Yes. India Rabbit is a package forwarding company that gives you a free Indian address at its warehouse in Kerala, with your own suite code. You shop Indian websites to it, and it combines your parcels into one box and ships them to Kenya, typically 4 to 6 business days after dispatch.
Can I get Indian products delivered to Kenya when the shop only ships within India?
Yes. Order to your India Rabbit address as an ordinary customer in India. We receive the parcel at our warehouse in Kerala, hold it free for 30 days while your other orders arrive, and forward everything to Kenya in one box.
How do I shop from India and ship to Kenya?
Sign up free and you get an Indian delivery address in Kerala with your own suite code. Use it as the shipping address at checkout on Amazon.in, Flipkart, Myntra, Nykaa, Ajio and most other Indian stores. When your parcels reach us we let you know, and you choose when to have them forwarded to Kenya.
How much does it cost to send a parcel from India to Kenya per kg?
From India to Kenya, a 1 kg parcel starts at ₹7,950 (about KES 10,861), and the rate per kilo falls as the box fills: about ₹3,640 (about KES 4,973) per kg for a 5 kg box and ₹2,230 (about KES 3,046) per kg for 20 kg, on Premium, with GST and payment charges included. We charge in rupees; the KES figures are approximate, at this week's exchange rate. Forwarding one box to Kenya runs about ₹7,000–9,000 for 1 kg and ₹16,500–20,000 for 5 kg by direct courier. Ranges worked out 2026-10-31, not quotes, and duty at your end is separate. What you pay depends on the finished weight and size after we repack your parcels into one; the table on this page shows indicative totals by parcel weight for Premium and Economy, with our handling, GST and payment charges included. The calculator gives the exact figure for your box.
Can I send a courier from India to Kenya with India Rabbit?
Yes. Order from Indian shops to your India Rabbit address, or have family in India send things there by any domestic courier. We receive and photograph every parcel, combine everything into one box and ship it to Kenya with tracking, typically 4 to 6 business days after dispatch.
What is the cheapest way to ship from India to Kenya?
Order everything to your Indian address first and have it forwarded as one box. International shipping is charged per shipment on the greater of actual and volumetric weight, so five parcels sent separately cost far more than the same goods repacked together. Where we run an Economy lane to Kenya, it is cheaper again than direct courier in exchange for a few more days in transit.
How long does delivery to Kenya take?
Typically 4 to 6 business days from the day your consolidated shipment leaves our warehouse, plus customs clearance at your end. Time in storage before you request shipping does not count towards that.
How much can I save by combining parcels?
International shipping is priced on weight and size, so five separate parcels cost far more than one. We repack everything into a single box and strip unnecessary packaging to cut volumetric weight. The saving scales with how bulky the original packaging was — up to 80% on bulky retail boxes, considerably less on small dense items.
Will I pay customs duty in Kenya?
Duty 0–35% under the EAC tariff, 16% VAT, 2.5% IDF and 2% RDL. No duty-free threshold; the recipient pays before release. Courier parcels under USD 1,000 and 70 kg are exempt from the certificate-of-origin rule in force since July 2025. Duty is charged by the customs authority in Kenya, not by India Rabbit.
What can I not forward to Kenya?
Prohibited for Kenya: Cosmetics containing mercury; Single-use plastic bags; Used undergarments, socks, stockings, sleepwear and bath towels; Counterfeit goods, narcotics and obscene material; Matches made with white phosphorus; Cash, currency, cheques, bullion, and loose precious stones. Check before you order.
How long will you hold my parcels?
30 days free from the day each parcel arrives, which is enough to finish a sale-season order and send it all together. Storage can be extended for a fee if you need longer.
Do I need an Indian card or phone number?
For most stores your own card works fine. Where a store insists on an Indian payment method, message us on WhatsApp before ordering and we will tell you what is possible.
