From India to New Zealand, a 1 kg parcel starts at ₹2,000 (about NZD 37), and the rate per kilo falls as the box fills: about ₹1,180 (about NZD 22) per kg for a 5 kg box and ₹1,030 (about NZD 19.2) per kg for 20 kg, on Economy, with GST and payment charges included. We charge in rupees; the NZD figures are approximate, at this week's exchange rate. Forwarding one box to New Zealand runs about ₹5,000–6,000 for 1 kg and ₹11,500–14,000 for 5 kg by direct courier, or ₹1,500–2,500 and ₹5,000–6,500 where we run an Economy lane. Yes. Order from Indian shops to your India Rabbit address, or have family in India send things there by any domestic courier. We receive and photograph every parcel, combine everything into one box and ship it to New Zealand with tracking, typically 4 to 14 business days after dispatch.

Order everything to your Indian address first and have it forwarded as one box. International shipping is charged per shipment on the greater of actual and volumetric weight, so five parcels sent separately cost far more than the same goods repacked together. Where we run an Economy lane to New Zealand, it is cheaper again than direct courier in exchange for a few more days in transit.

Typically 4 to 14 business days from the day your consolidated shipment leaves our warehouse, plus customs clearance at your end. Time in storage before you request shipping does not count towards that.

International shipping is priced on weight and size, so five separate parcels cost far more than one. We repack everything into a single box and strip unnecessary packaging to cut volumetric weight. The saving scales with how bulky the original packaging was — up to 80% on bulky retail boxes, considerably less on small dense items.

Declare all food and biological items; MPI inspects incoming parcels. Up to NZ$1,000, overseas sellers may charge 15% GST at checkout and Customs collects nothing; since 1 April 2026 a small levy applies per parcel. Above NZ$1,000, Customs collects duty, GST and an entry charge. Duty is charged by the customs authority in New Zealand, not by India Rabbit.

30 days free from the day each parcel arrives, which is enough to finish a sale-season order and send it all together. Storage can be extended for a fee if you need longer.
