Shop Indian stores from Denmark, delivered to your door

Denmark’s Indian community is recent and growing quickly — India has been among the top sources of Danish work permits — and is concentrated in Copenhagen and Aarhus. Indian groceries exist in the cities; clothing, books and regional products essentially do not.

Why one box beats five parcels

International shipping is charged on the greater of actual and volumetric weight, and every parcel carries that cost separately. Five 1 kg parcels to Denmark are priced as five shipments; repacked into one 4 kg box — packaging stripped, which is where the fifth kilo goes — they are priced as one. That is the difference between the 1 kg row above multiplied by five and the 5 kg row on its own.

Premium or Economy to Denmark?

Premium is a direct courier with end-to-end tracking and priority customs handling. Economy is consolidated and takes a few days longer for a lower price. Typical transit to Denmark is 4 to 12 business days from dispatch; Economy sits at the longer end of that. Both are tracked. Shipping from India to Denmark — questions

Is there a package forwarding company that gives me an Indian address and ships to Denmark?

Yes. India Rabbit is a package forwarding company that gives you a free Indian address at its warehouse in Kerala, with your own suite code. You shop Indian websites to it, and it combines your parcels into one box and ships them to Denmark, typically 4 to 12 business days after dispatch.

Can I get Indian products delivered to Denmark when the shop only ships within India?

Yes. Order to your India Rabbit address as an ordinary customer in India. We receive the parcel at our warehouse in Kerala, hold it free for 30 days while your other orders arrive, and forward everything to Denmark in one box.

How do I shop from India and ship to Denmark?

Sign up free and you get an Indian delivery address in Kerala with your own suite code. Use it as the shipping address at checkout on Amazon.in, Flipkart, Myntra, Nykaa, Ajio and most other Indian stores. When your parcels reach us we let you know, and you choose when to have them forwarded to Denmark.

How much does it cost to send a parcel from India to Denmark per kg?

From India to Denmark, a 1 kg parcel starts at ₹2,800 (about DKK 197), and the rate per kilo falls as the box fills: about ₹1,320 (about DKK 93) per kg for a 5 kg box and ₹950 (about DKK 67) per kg for 20 kg, on Economy, with GST and payment charges included. What you pay depends on the finished weight and size after we repack your parcels into one; the table on this page shows indicative totals by parcel weight for Premium and Economy, with our handling, GST and payment charges included. The calculator gives the exact figure for your box.

Can I send a courier from India to Denmark with India Rabbit?

Yes. Order from Indian shops to your India Rabbit address, or have family in India send things there by any domestic courier. We receive and photograph every parcel, combine everything into one box and ship it to Denmark with tracking, typically 4 to 12 business days after dispatch.

What is the cheapest way to ship from India to Denmark?

Order everything to your Indian address first and have it forwarded as one box. International shipping is charged per shipment on the greater of actual and volumetric weight, so five parcels sent separately cost far more than the same goods repacked together. Where we run an Economy lane to Denmark, it is cheaper again than direct courier in exchange for a few more days in transit.

How long does delivery to Denmark take?

Typically 4 to 12 business days from the day your consolidated shipment leaves our warehouse, plus customs clearance at your end. Time in storage before you request shipping does not count towards that.

How much can I save by combining parcels?

International shipping is priced on weight and size, so five separate parcels cost far more than one. We repack everything into a single box and strip unnecessary packaging to cut volumetric weight. The saving scales with how bulky the original packaging was — up to 80% on bulky retail boxes, considerably less on small dense items.

Will I pay customs duty in Denmark?

Import VAT (25%) applies to almost all goods and is charged on the value including shipping. Since 1 July 2026 parcels up to €150 pay a €3 duty per item category. Genuine gifts between private individuals up to DKK 360 (about €45) are free of duty and VAT. The recipient usually pays charges before delivery; the carrier may add a handling fee. Duty is charged by the customs authority in Denmark, not by India Rabbit.

What can I not forward to Denmark?

Prohibited for Denmark: Meat, milk and dairy products from outside the EU; Antibiotics sent by post from outside the EU/EEA; Medicines containing doping or euphoriant substances, sent by post; Counterfeit goods and endangered species products; Weapons and certain knives; Cash, currency, cheques, bullion, and loose precious stones. Check before you order.

How long will you hold my parcels?

30 days free from the day each parcel arrives, which is enough to finish a sale-season order and send it all together. Storage can be extended for a fee if you need longer.

Do I need an Indian card or phone number?

For most stores your own card works fine. Where a store insists on an Indian payment method, message us on WhatsApp before ordering and we will tell you what is possible.
