Shop Indian stores from China, delivered to your door

Mainland China has more than fifty thousand Indian residents: medical students, corporate professionals and a trading community centred on Yiwu and Guangzhou. Indian products of almost any kind are hard to buy there, which is exactly when a forwarding address is useful.

Yes — you can shop Indian websites from China even when they will not deliver there. India Rabbit is a package forwarding company that gives you a free Indian delivery address in Kerala. Order to it from Amazon.in, Flipkart, Myntra or any Indian shop, and we receive each parcel, hold it free for 30 days, combine everything into one box and forward it to China — typically 4 to 6 business days from dispatch. You pay for the international shipment only. From India to China, a 1 kg parcel starts at ₹4,200 (about CNY 294), and the rate per kilo falls as the box fills: about ₹2,080 (about CNY 146) per kg for a 5 kg box and ₹1,540 (about CNY 108) per kg for 20 kg, on Premium, with GST and payment charges included. We charge in rupees; the CNY figures are approximate, at this week's exchange rate. Forwarding one box to China runs about ₹3,500–5,000 for 1 kg and ₹9,500–11,500 for 5 kg by direct courier. Ranges worked out 2026-10-31, not quotes, and duty at your end is separate.

These are ranges, not quotes. What you actually pay depends on the finished weight and size of your box after we repack it, which is usually less than the sum of the parcels that arrived. Worked out 2026-10-31.

Why one box beats five parcels

International shipping is charged on the greater of actual and volumetric weight, and every parcel carries that cost separately. Five 1 kg parcels to China are priced as five shipments; repacked into one 4 kg box — packaging stripped, which is where the fifth kilo goes — they are priced as one. That is the difference between the 1 kg row above multiplied by five and the 5 kg row on its own.

Premium or Economy to China?

Premium is a direct courier with end-to-end tracking and priority customs handling. Economy is consolidated and takes a few days longer for a lower price. Typical transit to China is 4 to 6 business days from dispatch; Economy sits at the longer end of that. Both are tracked. More on choosing Premium or Economy and on how long shipping from India takes.

Shop from India to China — what people actually buy

China runs 220V on flat-pin and angled-pin sockets, so Indian appliances need a plug adapter. The CNY 2,000 cap shapes how to ship: keep each consignment under it, and keep food dairy-free, sealed and ground rather than whole seeds.

  • Ethnic and festival clothing
  • Indian-language books
  • Ground spices and sealed vegetarian snacks
  • Cosmetics and personal care

Personal parcels pay a single articles tax and are capped at CNY 2,000; the recipient must provide ID. Meat, dairy, eggs, seeds and animal-derived medicines are refused at quarantine.

We deliver door to door across China, including Beijing, Shanghai, Guangzhou and Yiwu.

Customs and restrictions

Personal parcels pay an articles tax of 13%, 20% or 50% by category instead of duty and VAT; it is waived when the tax due is RMB 50 or less. Personal parcels are capped at CNY 2,000 per consignment (a single indivisible item may clear above it); over the cap the parcel is returned or must clear as commercial goods. The recipient must be an individual and provide a copy of their ID.

Not accepted

  • Meat (raw or cooked), milk and dairy including ghee, cheese and yoghurt, and eggs
  • Seeds, seedlings and soil
  • Animal-derived traditional medicine materials
  • Printed or recorded material judged harmful to China's political or moral interests, including pornography
  • Arms, counterfeit currency, poisons and narcotics

Allowed with conditions

  • Medicines — import licence and recipient prescription
  • Mobile phones — may need CCC certification
  • Powdered milk — about 5 cans
  • Radio transmitters, tobacco and alcohol — controlled
  • Anything with a battery — we cannot ship it

Import duty and local taxes are decided by China customs and collected by the carrier on delivery. They are never part of our shipping quote.

Shipping from India to China — questions

Is there a package forwarding company that gives me an Indian address and ships to China?

Yes. India Rabbit is a package forwarding company that gives you a free Indian address at its warehouse in Kerala, with your own suite code. You shop Indian websites to it, and it combines your parcels into one box and ships them to China, typically 4 to 6 business days after dispatch.

Can I get Indian products delivered to China when the shop only ships within India?

Yes. Order to your India Rabbit address as an ordinary customer in India. We receive the parcel at our warehouse in Kerala, hold it free for 30 days while your other orders arrive, and forward everything to China in one box.

How do I shop from India and ship to China?

Sign up free and you get an Indian delivery address in Kerala with your own suite code. Use it as the shipping address at checkout on Amazon.in, Flipkart, Myntra, Nykaa, Ajio and most other Indian stores. When your parcels reach us we let you know, and you choose when to have them forwarded to China.

How much does it cost to send a parcel from India to China per kg?

From India to China, a 1 kg parcel starts at ₹4,200 (about CNY 294), and the rate per kilo falls as the box fills: about ₹2,080 (about CNY 146) per kg for a 5 kg box and ₹1,540 (about CNY 108) per kg for 20 kg, on Premium, with GST and payment charges included. Ranges worked out 2026-10-31, not quotes, and duty at your end is separate. What you pay depends on the finished weight and size after we repack your parcels into one; the table on this page shows indicative totals by parcel weight for Premium and Economy, with our handling, GST and payment charges included. The calculator gives the exact figure for your box.

Can I send a courier from India to China with India Rabbit?

Yes. Order from Indian shops to your India Rabbit address, or have family in India send things there by any domestic courier. We receive and photograph every parcel, combine everything into one box and ship it to China with tracking, typically 4 to 6 business days after dispatch.

What is the cheapest way to ship from India to China?

Order everything to your Indian address first and have it forwarded as one box. International shipping is charged per shipment on the greater of actual and volumetric weight, so five parcels sent separately cost far more than the same goods repacked together. Where we run an Economy lane to China, it is cheaper again than direct courier in exchange for a few more days in transit.

How long does delivery to China take?

Typically 4 to 6 business days from the day your consolidated shipment leaves our warehouse, plus customs clearance at your end. Time in storage before you request shipping does not count towards that.

How much can I save by combining parcels?

International shipping is priced on weight and size, so five separate parcels cost far more than one. We repack everything into a single box and strip unnecessary packaging to cut volumetric weight. The saving scales with how bulky the original packaging was — up to 80% on bulky retail boxes, considerably less on small dense items.

Will I pay customs duty in China?

Personal parcels pay an articles tax of 13%, 20% or 50% by category instead of duty and VAT; it is waived when the tax due is RMB 50 or less. Personal parcels are capped at CNY 2,000 per consignment (a single indivisible item may clear above it); over the cap the parcel is returned or must clear as commercial goods. The recipient must be an individual and provide a copy of their ID. Duty is charged by the customs authority in China, not by India Rabbit.

What can I not forward to China?

Prohibited for China: Meat (raw or cooked), milk and dairy including ghee, cheese and yoghurt, and eggs; Seeds, seedlings and soil; Animal-derived traditional medicine materials; Printed or recorded material judged harmful to China's political or moral interests, including pornography; Arms, counterfeit currency, poisons and narcotics; Cash, currency, cheques, bullion, and loose precious stones. Check before you order.

How long will you hold my parcels?

30 days free from the day each parcel arrives, which is enough to finish a sale-season order and send it all together. Storage can be extended for a fee if you need longer.

Do I need an Indian card or phone number?

For most stores your own card works fine. Where a store insists on an Indian payment method, message us on WhatsApp before ordering and we will tell you what is possible.
