Customs and restrictions
Goods valued under about USD 800 usually enter duty-free (de-minimis); above that, duty and taxes may apply. The receiver may be contacted by CBP to clear the shipment and pay any charges.

- Prescription medicines — personal quantity only, in original packaging, with a copy of the prescription
- Packaged, sealed, shelf-stable food (no meat); declare contents
- Vitamins and supplements — declare; some ingredients are restricted by the FDA
- Gold jewellery in personal quantities — declare the value
- Electronics — declare the accurate value
Import duty and local taxes are decided by the USA customs and collected by the carrier on delivery. They are never part of our shipping quote.

How do I shop Indian websites from the USA?

How long does delivery to the USA take?
Typically 6 to 12 business days from the day your consolidated shipment leaves our warehouse, plus customs clearance at your end. Time in storage before you request shipping does not count towards that.
How much can I save by combining parcels?
International shipping is priced on weight and size, so five separate parcels cost far more than one. We repack everything into a single box and strip unnecessary packaging to cut volumetric weight — savings of up to 80% against shipping each order on its own are normal.
Will I pay customs duty in the USA?

What can I not forward to the USA?
Prohibited for United States: Meat, poultry, and many dairy products; Fresh fruit, vegetables, and most plant material (USDA restrictions); Kinder Joy / toys with candy embedded inside; Cuban-origin goods, ivory, and tortoise-shell products; Switchblades and certain knives; Cash, currency, cheques, bullion, and loose precious stones. Check before you order — these are refused at customs or by the airline.
How long will you hold my parcels?
30 days free from the day each parcel arrives, which is enough to finish a sale-season order and send it all together. Storage can be extended for a fee if you need longer.
Do I need an Indian card or phone number?
For most stores your own card works fine. Where a store insists on an Indian payment method, message us on WhatsApp before ordering and we will tell you what is possible.
