From India to the USA, a 1 kg parcel starts at ₹3,250 (about USD 34), and the rate per kilo falls as the box fills: about ₹1,530 (about USD 16.1) per kg for a 5 kg box and ₹1,180 (about USD 12.4) per kg for 20 kg, on Economy, with GST and payment charges included. We charge in rupees; the USD figures are approximate, at this week's exchange rate. Forwarding one box to the USA runs about ₹4,000–5,500 for 1 kg and ₹9,500–12,000 for 5 kg by direct courier, or ₹2,500–4,000 and ₹7,000–8,500 where we run an Economy lane. Ranges worked out 2026-10-31, not quotes. Economy is delivered duty paid; on Premium, duty at your end is separate. What you pay depends on the finished weight and size after we repack your parcels into one; the table on this page shows indicative totals by parcel weight for Premium and Economy, with our handling, GST and payment charges included. Yes. Order from Indian shops to your India Rabbit address, or have family in India send things there by any domestic courier. We receive and photograph every parcel, combine everything into one box and ship it to the USA with tracking, typically 4 to 12 business days after dispatch.

Order everything to your Indian address first and have it forwarded as one box. International shipping is charged per shipment on the greater of actual and volumetric weight, so five parcels sent separately cost far more than the same goods repacked together. Where we run an Economy lane to the USA, it is cheaper again than direct courier in exchange for a few more days in transit.

Typically 4 to 12 business days from the day your consolidated shipment leaves our warehouse, plus customs clearance at your end. Time in storage before you request shipping does not count towards that.

International shipping is priced on weight and size, so five separate parcels cost far more than one. We repack everything into a single box and strip unnecessary packaging to cut volumetric weight. The saving scales with how bulky the original packaging was — up to 80% on bulky retail boxes, considerably less on small dense items.

Each item pays its normal US rate under its tariff code, plus an extra 10% on goods made in India since 24 July 2026, with a few categories such as pharmaceuticals excluded. There is no USD 800 duty-free allowance any more; only a genuine person-to-person gift worth USD 100 or less is exempt. Unless the shipment is duty paid, the receiver pays before delivery.

There is no duty-free allowance for parcels from India: the USD 800 de-minimis exemption was suspended on 29 August 2025 and the suspension has been continued since. Since 24 July 2026, goods from India also carry an extra 10% duty (Section 301) on top of the normal duty rate. These rules have changed several times, so check the current CBP position before a large order. The receiver may be contacted by CBP to clear the shipment and pay any charges. Duty is charged by the customs authority in the USA, not by India Rabbit.

Prohibited for United States: Meat, poultry, and many dairy products; Fresh fruit, vegetables, and most plant material (USDA restrictions); Kinder Joy / toys with candy embedded inside; Cuban-origin goods, ivory, and tortoise-shell products; Switchblades and certain knives; Cash, currency, cheques, bullion, and loose precious stones. 30 days free from the day each parcel arrives, which is enough to finish a sale-season order and send it all together. Storage can be extended for a fee if you need longer.
