What Lenskart sells

Lenskart sells eyeglasses, sunglasses with and without power, and contact lenses, including Aqualens. Its FAQ also lists premium frames from John Jacobs, Owndays, Fossil and Le Petit Lunetier, and lens options such as one that blocks blue light from screens. Business Standard reported in October 2025 that Lenskart was founded in 2008, is based in Gurugram and makes glasses at its own plant in Bhiwadi.

Lenskart is not only in India. The same report said its store network was set to pass 3,150 stores across 14 countries, including in South-East Asia and the Middle East, and when we checked on 31 October 2026 its website also ran versions for some countries outside India. Ordering from abroad

The website may show you the version for the country you are browsing from. Make sure you are on the Indian site, with prices in rupees, before you add your Indian address. If Lenskart cannot deliver to your country, or you want your glasses in one box with your other Indian shopping, order them to an Indian address:

1. Sign up for a free India Rabbit address. It is our warehouse in Kerala with your own suite code.
2. Add it as the delivery address in your Lenskart account, as any customer in India would.
3. Pay online. Cash on delivery cannot be accepted at our warehouse. Our page on paying on Indian shopping sites from abroad sets out the usual options.
4. We receive the parcel, open it and photograph what is inside, then hold it free for 30 days while your other Indian orders arrive.
5. Ask us to ship. We repack everything into one box, free, and send it to your door.

Your prescription

Lenskart's India FAQ says you can give your prescription by uploading a photo of it, typing it in, or asking for a callback, and that you can update it within 7 days of buying any eyewear. A few points make this easier from abroad:

• Use a recent prescription from your own optician or eye doctor. It should give the sphere (SPH), cylinder (CYL) and axis for each eye, and an addition (ADD) for reading or progressive lenses.
• If the order asks for your pupillary distance (PD) and it is not on your prescription, ask your optician for it.
• Check every figure before Lenskart starts making the lenses. A wrong sign or a swapped eye is the most common mistake, and the lenses are made for you.

Returns: why checking in India matters here

Lenskart's India FAQ gives 14 days from delivery to return eyeglasses and powered sunglasses, 7 days for sunglasses, and 45 days for progressive eyeglasses. Daily disposable and trial contact lenses cannot be returned once opened. The same FAQ says the policy is only for customers in India, and that it cannot give exchanges, returns or refunds to international customers.

So the time to spot a problem is while your glasses are still in India. We photograph the frame, the case and the packaging on arrival, so a broken hinge, a scratch or the wrong frame colour shows up before anything flies. We cannot test the lens power. Once the glasses have left India, any return means sending them back to an Indian address yourself, so raise what you can see in our photographs before you ask us to ship.

Packing glasses

Glasses are light, but their outer cartons take up space, and shipping is charged on the greater of actual and volumetric weight. We take off the outer retail box, keep the hard case and the cleaning cloth, and pack each pair with extra protection, at no charge.

Ordering from the USA, Canada, the UK, Australia and the UAE

After the box leaves India, typical transit is 4 to 12 business days to the USA, 4 to 14 to Canada and Australia, 4 to 10 to the UK and 4 to 8 to the UAE. Duty is set by your country's customs. The notes for each country are on the prohibited items page.

What we can and cannot send on

• Fine: prescription glasses, computer glasses, sunglasses, frames, hard cases and cleaning cloths, and contact lenses in sealed packs, subject to your country's rules.
• Not by us: Lenskart's Phonic audio glasses or any other smart eyewear with a battery, and cleaning sprays in aerosol cans.
