Does Lenskart deliver to the UK?

Check at your own checkout, and if it will not deliver to a UK address, order to your India Rabbit address in Kerala. Lenskart delivers there like any order in India, and we ship your glasses on to England, Scotland, Wales or Northern Ireland. In January 2026 Lenskart set up a UK company to sell eyewear under the Meller brand, as Storyboard18 reported on 6 January 2026. That is a separate brand from Lenskart's own, which include Vincent Chase, John Jacobs and Lenskart Air.

Your UK prescription, and the number missing from it

The NHS says your optician is legally required to give you your prescription after a sight test, or a statement that you have been referred for further tests, and that you should never feel obliged to buy glasses where you had the test. It also says the optician is not required by law to include your pupillary distance (PD), the distance between your pupils that centres each lens. An online order needs it, so ask for it to be measured and written down before you order.

Reading the numbers

For each eye you need SPH (sphere), CYL (cylinder) and axis, plus ADD for varifocals and prism if prescribed. Right eye may be written R, RE or OD, left eye L, LE or OS. Cylinder may be written as a plus or a minus number, and both can describe the same correction, so copy it exactly as written. If an order form will not accept your format, ask your optician to rewrite it rather than converting it yourself.

VAT and duty

UK VAT thresholds are low. Up to £135, VAT at 20% is normally charged by the seller at checkout; above £135, the courier collects VAT and any duty before delivery. On a forwarded box, declare values accurately and expect to settle VAT before delivery. It is charged by HMRC, not by us, and is never part of our shipping quote.

What travels and what does not

Frames and finished spectacle lenses ship well in a hard case, and they are light, so they add little to a box that is already coming. Contact lens solution is a liquid: sealed, unopened and declared only, and ask us first about peroxide-based systems. Anything with a battery, smart glasses included, cannot be shipped.

How to order

1. Sign up free and add your India Rabbit address, with your suite code, to your Lenskart India account.
2. Order as a customer in India, with your prescription and PD to hand.
3. We photograph each parcel on arrival and hold it free for 30 days while your other Indian orders arrive.
4. Ask us to ship: typically 4 to 10 business days from Kerala to your door.
