When we checked on 31 October 2026, Kalki's UK site listed free standard shipping on orders above £149 and £14.95 below that, with express at £19.99, and said UK orders are shipped from its warehouses in India by Atlantic, DHL or FedEx. Its FAQ says prices for customers outside India do not include duties, while a banner on the site reads "Delivered Duty Paid", so check at checkout which applies to your order. If the UK site suits you, it is the simplest route. Use your India Rabbit address for the Indian site when you want to shop it in rupees, or when the Kalki outfit is one part of a larger family order from several Indian shops.

The 48-hour window: why the photographs matter

Kalki's FAQ gives customers in India 48 hours from delivery to ask for an exchange or return. When you order to your India Rabbit address, that clock starts when the parcel reaches our warehouse in Kerala. We open and photograph every parcel on arrival, so you can check the colour, the embroidery and the finish within the window. Look at the photographs the day they arrive, and tell us at once if anything is wrong. Once a box has left India, a return is an international one.

VAT and duty in the UK

For goods up to £135, UK VAT at 20% is normally charged by the seller at checkout; above £135, the courier collects VAT and any duty before delivery. A family wedding order soon passes £135. Since 15 July 2026 the UK–India trade agreement has cut or removed duty on many goods made in India, clothing among them, where the origin rules are met. VAT still applies.

Timing a wedding order

Kalki's own UK bridal guide advises planning a bridal lehenga three to six months ahead, especially with custom work, and suggests velvet in jewel tones for a British winter wedding. Build in our part too: the Indian delivery, the time to collect the family's parcels with us, and 4 to 10 business days from Kerala to your door. December is the slowest month on every route, so a winter wedding box should leave our warehouse by mid-November.

Measurements

Kalki publishes size charts and offers custom fitting; its FAQ says COD orders come in standard sizes, and we cannot accept cash on delivery at our warehouse anyway, so pay online. A UK 12 is not an Indian M on every label, so measure yourself against each product's chart.

2. We receive and photograph each parcel and hold it free for 30 days while the rest of the wedding shopping arrives.
3. Ask us to ship: one box to your door in the UK.
