Shop from Jaypore & Ship Worldwide

Handloom, block print and Indian craft, reachable from wherever you live.

Does Jaypore ship internationally? It varies by item and destination and can change, so check at Jaypore checkout. Where it will not deliver to you, a free Indian address from India Rabbit lets you order as a local customer and we forward it.

What Jaypore is for

Jaypore sells the curated end of Indian craft: handloom saris and stoles, block-printed and ajrakh textiles, brass and wood homeware, jewellery from working craft traditions rather than factories. It is the sort of catalogue that has no shelf equivalent abroad — an importer might carry six pieces, where the Indian site carries six hundred — which is why it is worth the trouble of forwarding at all.

If it is a handloom sari you are after, our notes on the weaves themselves cover Jamdani from Bengal, Pochampally ikat from Telangana, Patola from Gujarat and Sambalpuri from Odisha, and for winter, the Kashmiri pashmina shawl.

Is Jaypore available in the USA, the UK or Australia?

Delivery abroad varies and changes, so check at your own checkout first. Where it will not, order to your free Indian address and we forward the box.

The thing to plan around with craft is materials, not shipping. Textiles, brass, ceramic and stone travel everywhere without argument. Australia and New Zealand inspect wooden items closely, so declare wood accurately. Anything with animal material in it, including some traditional inlay and leather trim, is restricted in more countries than people expect. Into Europe the voltage question never arises with craft, but Italy and Switzerland have their own plug types if you are buying a lamp that is wired. Read your destination's prohibited items page before a large order.

Fragile, and why we open the box

Craft is where opening and photographing every parcel earns its place. Ceramics chip, brass arrives dented, a block print can be a different colourway from the photograph, and a handloom piece is a one-off rather than catalogue stock. You see all of that in your account before the box flies, while a return inside India is still easy. Tell us on the pre-alert when something is fragile and we pack accordingly.

Weight, and the one arithmetic that matters

Textiles are the best thing you can forward: dense, flat, and light for the space they take. Homeware is the opposite — a brass lamp or a ceramic set is charged on the space it occupies, not what it weighs. Put real dimensions into the calculator before committing to a large homeware order, and combine it with clothing so the box is full rather than half air.

Craft is a one-off, so buy it when you see it

A handloom sari in a particular colourway, a block-print run, a single potter's batch — these are not restocked the way catalogue goods are. That argues for buying when you find the piece rather than waiting to build an order, which is exactly the case free storage is for. Buy across several weeks as things appear, let the parcels gather at our warehouse, and send them together when you have enough to fill a box. Thirty days of free storage is usually enough to turn four separate impulse buys into one sensible shipment.

Gifting

A great deal of what leaves our warehouse from this sort of shop is a present rather than something for the buyer. Tell us if you want the invoice left out of the box.

Questions

Is Jaypore available in the USA or Canada?

The site is viewable from both; whether an order completes varies, so test it at checkout. Where it will not, we forward from your free Indian address. Textiles and brass travel without difficulty; declare any wooden item accurately.

Can I order from Jaypore to the UK, Ireland or Europe?

Test it at checkout and we forward where it will not complete. Craft carries no voltage problem, but a wired lamp will need the right plug — Italy and Switzerland use their own types.

Does Jaypore deliver to Australia or New Zealand?

It varies, so the checkout is the test, and we forward to both. Declare wooden and organic material accurately: biosecurity in both countries inspects it.

Will fragile pieces survive the journey?

Ceramics and glass need packing, not luck. Tell us on the pre-alert that a parcel is fragile, and we repack it accordingly when the box is consolidated. Every parcel is opened and photographed on arrival, so anything that reached us already damaged is visible to you before it flies.

Is it worth forwarding homeware, or only textiles?

Textiles are the cheapest thing on the site to forward because they are dense and flat. Homeware is charged on the space it occupies, so a single brass lamp can cost more to fly than its price. If you want both, order them together and let us pack them into one box — the clothing fills the gaps around the awkward item.
