What Seematti sells online

Seematti traces itself to a modest beginning in 1910 at Alappuzha and describes itself today as the bridal destination of Kerala. Its online store lists Kancheepuram, Banarasi, organza, designer, Kerala, semi-silk, jute, linen and tussar sarees, dhavani sets, unstitched materials, kidswear and menswear including shirts and dhotis. You can also browse by occasion: party, daily, wedding and casual.

Why order to an Indian address

A wedding order is rarely one parcel from one shop. The saree comes from Seematti, the jewellery from another seller, the blouse from a tailor, the gifts from somewhere else. Order all of it to your India Rabbit address and it waits with us, free for 30 days per parcel, until the last piece arrives. Then it travels to you in one box instead of five.

Ordering, step by step

1. Sign up for a free India Rabbit address: our warehouse in Kerala, with your own suite code.
2. Order on seematti.com with that address for delivery, and pay online. Cash on delivery cannot be accepted at our warehouse.
3. We photograph each parcel on arrival, so you can check it while a return inside India is still possible.
4. When everything has arrived, ask us to ship.

Seematti's own terms

Seematti's refund policy asks for requests within 7 days of receiving the product, with the item unused and undamaged. Returns other than for damage or colour issues are refunded as store credit, and sale items are exchange-only. Read the current policy on their site before you order.

Shipping a bridal saree

A heavy Kancheepuram silk in a presentation box can weigh far more than the saree itself. Tell us to remove the retail box and it ships on its real weight, packed flat in a sealed bag against damp. The calculator gives the price to your country.
