Biosecurity comes before everything else

Australian biosecurity is the strictest of any destination we ship to, and it bites the Amazon.in grocery category hardest. Food and plant products must be declared exactly, item by item. Seeds, fresh produce and most meat and dairy do not go at all. Packaged, sealed, commercially labelled food with the contents on the label is the version that clears; a bag of something homemade is the version that does not.

The plug does not fit, but the voltage is fine

Australia uses its own angled three-pin socket, so an Indian plug will not go in — but the country runs 230V, the same as India, so the appliance itself works on an adapter. No transformer, unlike North America.

Order for the opposite season

The seasons are inverted. The winter wear you want for July is being sold in India in the middle of the Indian summer range, so order in March for July and in September for December. It catches people out every year.
