Buy from Amazon India and ship to Bangladesh

How do I get Amazon India orders delivered in Bangladesh?

Check at Amazon.in checkout first. If the item will not deliver to your Bangladesh address, order it to your free India Rabbit address in Kerala. We photograph each parcel, hold everything free for 30 days, and ship one box to Dhaka, Chattogram, Sylhet, Rajshahi or anywhere else in Bangladesh, typically 4 to 6 business days after it leaves India.

Choose by tax rate, not only by price

Bangladesh taxes courier imports by item, and the rates are far apart. Dhaka Custom House publishes 127% for garments and cosmetics, 157% for skin care and 183% for hair care, against 31% for medicine. On Amazon.in, that makes clothing and beauty products the expensive orders once they land. Tax is a percentage of the declared value, so splitting an order into several boxes does not lower it. For anything else, check the rate for that item before you order.

What Bangladesh does not allow

Pork and pork products, poppy seeds, used or reconditioned electronics, polythene bags, and goods or packaging carrying religious inscriptions are prohibited. And we cannot ship mobile phones, laptops, loose batteries or anything powered by a battery, perfume, aerosols or nail polish, whatever the destination.

Indian appliances work in Bangladesh

Bangladesh runs on 220V and most sockets accept Indian round-pin plugs, so an Amazon.in kitchen appliance usually works as it is.

Duty and tax

Bangladesh stacks customs duty, supplementary duty, VAT and advance taxes, and publishes no duty-free allowance for courier parcels. Dhaka Custom House publishes courier tax rates by item: 127% for garments and cosmetics, 157% for skin care, 183% for hair care and 31% for medicine. The recipient pays before delivery.
