Does Flipkart deliver to Sri Lanka?

What we cannot ship from Flipkart
Flipkart is best known for phones and electronics, so this matters: we cannot ship mobile phones, laptops, loose batteries or anything powered by a battery, perfume, aerosols or nail polish, whatever the destination. Sri Lanka also requires a Telecommunications Regulatory Commission licence for phones and radios. Clothes, books, kitchenware, home goods, toys without batteries, sealed packaged food and most beauty products are fine.
Flipkart for Sri Lanka
Sri Lanka runs 230V, and many sockets take the same round-pin plug as India alongside the British three-pin, so Flipkart kitchen appliances such as mixer grinders and irons work with little or no adapter. Books, kitchenware and home goods are the usual order. Duty and levies stack on the value, so a considered order travels better than things already sold in Colombo.
Duty, VAT and levies
Sri Lanka charges customs duty, 18% VAT, the Port and Airport Development Levy and, on some goods, a surcharge and cess. Genuine gifts and personal items are free of customs duty up to LKR 15,000 and of VAT up to LKR 10,000, but the other levies still apply. The recipient pays before release, and if Customs holds a parcel the recipient is asked to attend the examination in person, so give a phone number you answer. Sri Lanka Customs never asks for payment by SMS, email or phone call.
