What we cannot ship from Flipkart
Flipkart is best known for phones and electronics, so this matters: we cannot ship mobile phones, laptops, loose batteries or anything powered by a battery, perfume, aerosols or nail polish, whatever the destination. Clothes, books, kitchenware, home goods, toys without batteries, sealed packaged food and most beauty products are fine.

German shops sell almost nothing from the Indian catalogue. Clothes, books, steel kitchenware and home textiles from Flipkart are worth ordering; electricals are best bought locally even though the voltage matches, because the plug and the warranty do not.
Indian appliances work in Germany
Germany runs on 230V with European two-pin sockets, close to India's 230V, so Indian kitchen appliances work with a plug adapter.
Duty and tax
Import VAT of 19% applies to almost all goods, and since 1 July 2026 parcels up to €150 also pay a €3 customs duty per item category; normal duty applies above €150. The recipient usually pays before delivery.
